About Us

I grew up in Logan, Utah, the seventh of eight children in a tight-knit family that loves music, education, nature and, most importantly, God.  In 2009 I married my best friend and sweetheart, Alan Burke Adams.  He has helped me to grow into a much better person than I could have ever been on my own.  Leaving my beloved Cache Valley, we relocated to St. George after our wedding where we lived for 2 and 1/2 years, followed by a move to Nevada for another 2 years and are now happily relocated to Cedar City, Utah where we plan to stay put for a while.

From January to May of 2011 I did my student teaching with high school juniors and seniors and graduated as an English Education Major with my secondary teaching license.  Rather than utilize my degree in a career format, I have decided to stay at home to teach my sweet children and to ensure they have the best care taking in the world!

In 2011 I gave birth to our darling daughter, Daphne Marie and in 2014 we added our precious Darcie Catherine to the mix.  In 2016 we became pregnant with identical twin boys.  Due to complications from IUSGR (Intrauterine Selective Growth Restriction), one of our twins, Aiden Burke, passed away in utero at 32 weeks gestation.  Our surviving twin, Alan David, was born 2 weeks later, 6 weeks premature.  For a complete list of the posts related to our tumultuous twin pregnancy and loss click "The Journey with Twins" link at the top of the home page.

This blog is my way to journal and scrapbook, so you'll find a lot of entries about our every day life and many of my personal musings.  Hope you enjoy!
