Home Again Home Again

Since we hadn't been to Logan since the family reunion in August, Burke and I decided to make the drive up on New Years Eve to spend some time with the family. We stopped in Salt Lake on the way and got to have sparkling cider "toasts" with the Kirbys. My favorite toast was Kaleo's "A toast to the baby in Mama's tummy that she will be a girl and that she won't come early!" We also enjoyed a rousing dinosaur game of "Biting Off Heads" amidst galls of giggles before making the last leg of the journey on (thankfully) clear roads. As we rounded that last bend in Sardine Canyon and saw the temple glowing I was bouncing up and down with glee! I LOVE LOGAN and it felt way too long since we had last been home.

April, Devo and the boys made the drive all the way from California and it was so much fun to have the little guys running around the house. We watched the ball drop at midnight from the comfort of the living room and Burke and I were shocked to realize neither of us had ever had a New Years Eve kiss and this would be our "first" kiss together!

Our far too brief visit included a ski day at FRIGID Beaver, dinner at Olive Garden with my darling Josie and her special friend Rick (who now has our official stamp of approval), a rousing game of Porta Rico, sculpting a giant snow bunny head (hideous, I know - talk to the Master Mind Devo), WCW tournament, a frustrating game of RISK, singing around the piano and a few nice chats. Wish we could have stayed longer!
