Christmas Tree Hunt
The day after Thanksgiving we loaded up with the Adams family and headed up to Co-Op to hunt for Christmas trees. This was the first time in my life that I had ever chopped down my very own tree. Well, Burke, Mike and Alan did the actual chopping, but it was so fun to be up there to pick them out.
We had bundled the girls up in several layers, but it turned out to be a gorgeous day! So much so that we were all stripping off jackets and running around having a snowball fight without gloves. The little girls all teamed up against Brady and he was such a good sport to play with them for as long as he did. I'm telling ya, kids love him!
This little body suit on Darcie was killing me!
Mike ended up with about 8 trees in the back of his truck, 4 or 5 in the back of Alan's truck and another 3 or 4 in the back of Alan's old truck that Burke was driving. We got extras for people in Mike's ward who couldn't get a Christmas tree for themselves. At one point, Kristen tried to help Burke lift one of the trees into the pickup and I was crying laughing as I snapped these pictures of her totally getting owned by the stubborn pine. Burke kept saying, "What the heck are you doing Kris?!" because he couldn't see what was going on. So funny.
Other shenanigans happened up at the mountain that day...but it will have to be documented in another post. :)
