Easter and Conference Weekend
What's wrong with these pictures? That's right, this was Easter weekend and the kiddies were doing an egg hunt in the snow! Gotta love Cache Valley.
Burke and I were excited to be heading North one last time before we leave for Paris and it turned out to be a superb visit - totally worth the 6 hour drive! We spent some time with the Kirby's in Salt Lake, enjoying a late night talk with Amy and Karl, shooting high procession German engineered suction darts with the kiddos, and pigging out at the Taj India Buffet before driving the last leg of the trip to Logan. That night Burke and I had a lovely dinner with my dear friend Josie and her significant other, Rick, at the Beehive Grill and enjoyed an evening of talking and music with the family.

Saturday was spent listening to two wonderful sessions of conference and playing "Where's Waldo" trying to find Daddy in the Mo-Tab during each song. In between we decorated Easter eggs, took a walk to the park with the kiddos, and hid eggs for the kiddos in the snow covered yard. The weren't daunted one bit by the cold and filled their buckets to the brim!
The next morning Burke, Gabe, Katie (Gabe's friend) and I caravaned to Salt Lake for the Sunday morning session of conference (we forgot to take pictures...rats!) We ended up sitting just a few rows in front of Burke's Uncle Wayne, Aunt Tracey and their family as well as right next to Jake Spencer, an old friend of high school whom I haven't seen in years! Crazy that you can find people you know in a crowd of 21,000! I was so impressed with the choir's beautiful music and the weekend theme of conference that focused on the importance of parenting and our responsibility to make our homes safe havens from the world. We enjoyed lunch with the Kirby Family again and drove home during the evening session. As always, it was too short of a visit, but we loved being with the family even for just a brief time.
