52 Dates: #28 - Co-op Campout & Parowan Receptions

This weekend we did an overnight campout at Co-Op with Mike and LeeAnn plus a few of their friends.  It was fantastic to escape the heat of Mesquite for a few days and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Daphne was in dirt, rock, stick and cousin heaven!

This is the first time we've been to the mountain since she has been mobile and she was loving the freedom of the wide open spaces.  The fire made me a little nervous, but we kept a close eye on her and didn't have any mishaps.

Saturday morning we woke up about an hour before everybody else and took a family walk down the hill.  It was so peaceful and Daphne found another stick, so we were all happy as can be.

And we must not forget that Daph had her first picture at the famous "Bum Crack Rock" - a must see Co-Op attraction. ;)  So classy.

The weather was perfect, Daphne was a dream, and the ride around the property was as therapeutic as usual.  Daphne is finally old enough to appreciate the 4-wheelers and was laughing her head off when Burke let her sit up front to "drive."

The rest of the weekend was super chill.  We watched a little Olympics (my fav!), Burke mowed the lawn (his fav), and Daphne played with cousins and tried as hard as she could to find danger (her fav).  The real reason we went up to P-town in the first place was to attend two wedding receptions for Rory Wilkes (one of Burke's favorite Parowan friends) and Lee Pace, Aunt Ava's son thereby one of Burke's many cousins.  Both were lovely events to celebrate two beautiful couples.  It was such a nice weekend and the sunset on the drive home last night with the double rainbow that proceeded it was one of the most glorious I have seen in months.  Pictures never seem to do a summer sunset justice.
