52 Dates: #20 - Backyard Camping

Saturday night Burke and I enjoyed one of our best dates of our marriage.  And it was so simple.

We set up our tent in the backyard.  Put Daphne to bed and grabbed the baby monitor.

Snuggled in sleeping bags while taking turns reading "Born to Run" by flashlight.

Took a break to roast mallows and make s'mores over a camp stove.

Used Burke's Astrology Ap on his phone to point at the star-scattered night and discover what each constellation was called.

Read some more.  Talked, laughed, and eventually fell asleep in each others arms in the perfect temperature with the desert breeze rustling the tent walls.

Some time around midnight Daphne's whimpers chirped out over the baby monitor, so we stumbled inside and fell back asleep in our own comfy bed after checking on the babe.  It's times like these I don't know how I could possibly love my best friend any more.

That looks like so much fun!
We are going on a family camping trip to Arches next week so I want to do a trial run in the backyard. :) I'm terrified Avery will wake up screaming in the middle of the night and wake up the whole camp!

Burke, it's okay if you don't like the book. You don't have to flip it off. ;)
